My look to my future at that time was to possibly be a journalist, photographer or social worker. I saw myself as a loner, traveling from place to place writing articles and taking photos.
At times, I’ve asked myself that if I had a choice would I do it all over again. My answer to myself is yes I would, but would handle some things differently.
The time period is the late 1970s attending T.H. Harris Trade School in Opelousas, Louisiana for receptionist techniques. My friends and I took a time out from our studies for this photo. Gals of the time!
The JW Low’s lunch counter is a favorite memory of many from Opelousas. Thinking of it brings up memories of cherry colas, biscuits, lunches and of the candy counter.
